Drawing lessons give shape to lessons about living life from a different perspective for a woman who struggles with insomnia. After finding a tape cassette of Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain at a yard sale (read by poet Mark Strand), the woman narrates a series of revelations inspired by the exercises. Selwood’s simple lines are interspersed with drawings by her mother Eileen, creating a tender symmetry.
