Education
IFFR Education organises opportunities for pupils and students up to 24 years old to dive into the colourful world of film. IFFR films offer students a cultural perspective on the world, and invite them to look critically, creatively and comprehensively. Our education programme showcases a broad spectrum of film art. Apart from using film as a window to the world, our programmes also invite the students to explore and develop their artistic talents.

Education programmes
We offer a wide-range of film programmes (both short and feature length), online course materials, workshops and tailor-made lessons for primary education, secondary education, special education and mbo. We also work together with hbo art institutions and universities to connect students to IFFR through challenges, assignments and curated screenings. Programmes are designed for specific target groups, ensuring both films and teaching materials for educators are well-aligned.
Our school screenings are accompanied by a moderator, who engages with the students before and after the film to discuss technical and thematic elements. Curiosity serves as an important starting point: curiosity about new ways of seeing, new skills, each other and each other’s opinions.
Our regular programmes are in Dutch. Visit our Dutch website for all the ins and outs.
