Granny’s Sexual Life

Based on a Slovenian book that collected testimony from over 1600 women about their sexual lives in the early 20th century, this animated documentary highlights the painful experiences of women living in a society where their pleasure was ignored, denied and even vilified. Their stories are important reminders that people should never be objects, and the film insists that healing can emerge from sharing stories, no matter how bleak.
