Adela is convinced that someone, or something, is constantly watching her. Feeling misunderstood and unheard by her family and the medical world, she seeks solutions in religion and spirituality, finding a form of solace in telling her story to a healer. In striking visual style, this embroidered fable explores mental health and trauma. El Cuerpo de Cristo marks Bea Lema’s debut film and is an adaptation of her graphic novel of the same name.
