Inspired by a workshop sign she found in one of Warsaw’s bleak apartment blocks, Sosnowska painted a pseudo-advertisement that advertises nothing but herself. Her painting of the test card on a TV set is illusionary, using tricks to pull the viewer into optical traps. In a reality where people are being constantly attacked by advertising messages, Sosnowska’s commercially useless image becomes a strange intervention.
