Zwei fremde Augen
Each episode makes one of the many protagonists briefly the central figure too. In this part that is Juan (Juan Ramon Subercaseaux in full), a young South American wrestling with his talents. His problem is that he has too many conflicting talents. Juan becomes one of the friends in Hermann’s circle. In this episode Juan kisses Clarissa, Hermann’s great love. Clarissa was given the beautiful surname Lichtblau by Reitz. She is a talented cellist who has a love-hate relationship with her instrument and she will remain Hermann’s unrequited love until the last. In Two Strange Eyes Hermann himself loses his scant possessions to Mrs Moretti and for the first time he learns what it is to be far from home.Far from Munich, John F. Kennedy is elected president of the USA, the Front for the Liberation of South Vietnam is formed and Yuri Gargarin is the first man in space.
