Kongkiat KOMESIRI (1975, Thailand) is a renowned Thai screenwriter and film director known for gritty, socially-conscious action films. He studied at the Faculty of Mass Communications at Bangkok University. After writing on hits like Art of the Devil (2004), Komesiri’s directorial breakout was Slice (2009), which won multiple Best Director awards, including Thailand’s top such honour. Subsequent works like The Gangster (2012), the Khun Pan trilogy (2016–2023), KinnPorsche: The Series (2022) and Netflix’s Bangkok Breaking (2021) showcased versatility, resonating with local audiences.
