Kongkiat KOMESIRI (1975, Thailand) is a renowned Thai screenwriter and film director known for gritty, socially-conscious action films. He studied at the Faculty of Mass Communications at Bangkok University. After writing on hits like Art of the Devil (2004), Komesiri’s directorial breakout was Slice (2009), which won multiple Best Director awards, including Thailand’s top such honour. Subsequent works like The Gangster (2012), the Khun Pan trilogy (2016–2023), KinnPorsche: The Series (2022) and Netflix’s Bangkok Breaking (2021) showcased versatility, resonating with local audiences. Komesiri’s rich storytelling and bold cinematic style cement his status as one of Thailand’s most acclaimed contemporary filmmakers. With accolades spanning top Thai awards, he continues pushing boundaries, delivering powerful, culturally-relevant narratives captivating global audiences.
