Grimy images of a dilapidated house. It’s a filthy place. So filthy, you can almost smell the burnt coffee and charred toast. Here lives a man trapped in isolation, consumed by his obsession with Tommy Cooper, the British magician and comedian who died live on television mid-performance in 1984. In this contemporary ghost story, filmmaker Helen Anna Flanagan performs a magic trick that lets the man and his idol become one.
