An ode to a dead person. Bautismo means ‘baptism’. It is also a mysterious leap into the material nature of film and an alchemist’s mixture of video and celluloid. The motif of the ocean waves and a feminine figure suggest both a Siren and a drowned person, a muse and a victim. The lighthouse represents the search for transcendence and redemption.
