Rob meets Esther finds out more about the last months of his friend Reinhard. Esther forces her father to accompany her to the Dachau concentration camp, but doesn't succeed in finding out more about her mother. Hermann meets the businessman-diplomat Handschuh who takes him on as composer for his PR company and gives him every opportunity to experiment with his electronic music. Clarissa and Hermann make desperate attempts to keep a grip on everyday life. Clarissa stops playing the cello and is cheated on by Hermann. With Rob, he concentrates on audio-visual experiments. Helga acquires an aversion to art and becomes involved in radical politics.It is almost 1968. Benno Ohnesorg dies during the anti-Shah demonstrations in Berlin.
