Volkskrantdag 2026

On Sunday 8 February enjoy the best that IFFR has to offer during the IFFR Volkskrantdag. Film editor for De Volkskrant, Bor Beekman, has put together a special programme of must-see films. Criss-cross Rotterdam from cinema to cinema or choose to see all films in the same screening room.

Routes

With Route Centrum, you can watch five different films at five different locations in the city centre of Rotterdam. There are three locations from which you can experience the IFFR Volkskrantdag while staying in the same screening room throughout the day: they are Pathé Schouwburgplein, LantarenVenster and the Nieuwe Luxor Theater.

Practical

On Saturday 7 February 2026, one day before IFFR Volkskrantdag, you will receive an email from us and you can look up your route number via IFFR.com or find it in your IFFR account, where both the route and the film programme can be found.

As a visitor to the IFFR Volkskrantdag, you will follow a route allocated to you, visiting five screens throughout the day. Visitors of the IFFR Volkskrantdag Pathé Schouwburgplein, LantarenVenster and Nieuwe Luxor Theater will watch the entire programme at the same cinema.

If you buy tickets for IFFR Volkskrantdag Pathé Schouwburgplein, LantarenVenster or Nieuwe Luxor Theater, you will automatically be allocated a screening room. It is not possible to choose a specific screening room within each venue, but you can see which screening room has been allocated to you when buying your tickets (before you pay).

Please note: your ticket is personal. It is not permitted to give one or more tickets from your IFFR Volkskrantdag route to someone else. Switching routes is not possible, you can, however, try to exchange your tickets via the IFFR Volkskrantdag exchange site on Facebook. IFFR Volkskrantdag tickets cannot be returned after purchase.

Please be aware that only tickets purchased at the same time and with the same personal account will be grouped together on the same route and following the same schedule. Any additional orders from the same account will not follow the same route as previous orders.

All films are shown in their original language. Most films are subtitled in English, however some will only have Dutch subtitles.
