Now streaming on IFFR Unleashed: Scope on Screen
Discover the breadth of filmmaking talent in our region with our latest on-demand collection: nine short films by makers from South Holland. From documentary to animation, these shorts take you from Dutch windmills and the heart of the Amazon to the night sky and the cosmos beyond.

We present the collection in collaboration with Scope – the platform connecting filmmakers and the film sector in the province – as part of Scope on Screen, a programme of regional talent touring local cinemas.

What is Scope?
Scope is a regional platform connecting filmmakers, training institutions, exhibitors and other players across the film and media sector in South Holland. It supports filmmakers with space, guidance and a strong network, so new stories can take shape and find their audience. Every month, Scope and its partners host a hands-on programme of talks, workshops and meet-ups. Scope also offers co-working spaces, pitching sessions and mentorship trajectories.
The initiative is driven by the sector itself, in close collaboration with Filmhuis Den Haag, Qissa, New Producers Academy, Buddy Film Foundation, Stichting SKLNE, LantarenVenster and International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR). It is funded by the cities of The Hague and Rotterdam, the Netherlands Film Fund and Cultuurfonds.

What is Unleashed?
IFFR Unleashed is our curated video-on-demand (VOD) platform. It extends the festival’s mission by spotlighting bold and distinctive cinema through thematic online programmes, available on a quarterly basis.
Each edition features a carefully curated line-up, offering you a fresh and accessible way to engage with the festival year-round. Past collections on IFFR Unleashed have highlighted celebrated works by filmmakers such as Kelly Reichardt, Bong Joon Ho, Janicza Bravo, Hou Hsiao-hsien, Wang Bing and many others.
How does it work?
Each film is available on a pay-per-view basis for €2.50. You can also buy a special Unleashed multi-ticket (rittenkaart), which gives you access to five short films for €10. That brings the price down to €2 per film. You can use any unused tickets for future releases or other Unleashed titles.
All films are available to stream in the Netherlands until 30 October, 23.59 CET. Find out more in our FAQ.
