Ali Cherri

Ali CHERRI (1976, Lebanon) graduated in Graphic Design from the American University in Beirut. He moved to the Netherlands to complete his studies with a Master’s degree in Performing Arts at DasArts in Amsterdam. His work varies from video to multimedia installation and performances, shown in solo and group exhibitions. Cherri’s installation Of Men and Gods and Mud (2022) received a Silver Lion at the 59th Venice Biennale. He is a recipient of Harvard University’s Robert E. Fulton Fellowship, the Rockefeller Foundation Award and the Abraaj Group Art Prize.
