Storefront after storefront, moving from one promise of consumerist bliss to another, with people casually vanishing, images bleeding into each other, the film suddenly changing its lateral tracking direction. A meditation on a very American realm, a shopping mall, in all its colours and sounds and lights. Pure genius.
