A fictional reimagining of the real-life friendship between Pannonica de Koenigswarter, aka The Jazz Baroness, and the famous pianist and composer Thelonious Monk. This new film by the Dutch visual artist Gabriel Lester is a rare example of experimental narrative dealing with jazz, beautifully freewheeling and meandering as the music itself. Featuring the motley crew of four-legged jazz cats and moths as gramophone needles!
