A wry comedy on the ironic aspects of menstruation. Women act out their own dramas, in a red-filtered ritual of mutual bonding. In her work from the 1970s, Hammer based her aesthetic on connecting sight and touch. Tactile imagery would make viewers physically involved while watching, leading to greater involvement in the work.
This film was preserved by Electronic Arts Intermix and the Academy Film Archive through the National Film Preservation and The Film Foundation. Funding provided by the George Lucas Family Foundation.
