A Man Called Love
Direct naar zijbalk
A slide projection with voice-over about Francisco Candido Xavier (1910-2002) – a Brazilian civil servant who became famous as a psychic medium and psychographer, and whose version of Spiritism was deeply utopian and conservative. This installation brings out the societal fault lines underlying his practice, intertwining Xavier, the military dictatorship and its resistance.
