In 1973, Altman’s The Long Goodbye was a total flop. Film archivist Lampert serendipitously purchased a Spanish version online and, with a strong sense of professional self-irony, returned this 16mm, black-and-white, cropped, dubbed print back to its original 35mm, colour, widescreen, English-language splendor.
