Percussie VI
A video work by Livinus, with electronic music by his son Jeep. Livinus investigated the specific graphic characteristics of video in its own context, without involving the institution of ‘television’ in this. His aim was to paint with light, motion and sound in an electronic way. For this he built his own image synthesiser and generator – an act that can be regarded as the starting point of Dutch video art. (Netherlands Media Art Institute, Montevideo/TBA, Amsterdam)
