Raymond Red’s Anino/Shadows is a thirteen-minute short about a photographer from the provinces (Ronnie Lazaro) wandering the streets of Manila. The film is beautifully shot (on 35-mm film stock) and the storytelling, while terse, is often strange. Winner of the Cannes Golden Palm for short film. (NV)
