The film brings up quite a daring subject in Indian society feelings of love and lust between a prostitute and a young man. One day, the main hero Vidhyashankar, a poet and a sculptor, brings home a pretty girl. After indulging in a passionate affair, he never wants to see her again. But destiny decides otherwise and she comes back to him. They become very close to each other and he realises that his lust has made way for compassionate love.
