Focus: Matthew Lax
Matthew Lax heeft een uitgesproken taalbenadering en laat door performance en documentaire de queerinterpretaties zien van uiteenlopende onderwerpen waaronder archiefteksten, dierengedrag en machtsdynamiek. Lax werkt met acteurs en niet-acteurs in zijn films, waarbij kritisch dialoog en community building de boventoon voeren, en betekenis en interpretatie bevragen. In het Focus-programma beleven twee werken van Lax hun wereldpremière: A TIRED DOG IS A GOOD DOG, PART TWO en Gay Men’s Book Club.
