In a grimy back room of her small apartment, Caroline is hiding a slimy creature. When she tries to get rid of it, she is stopped by Jona, who is very fond of the mysterious and magical – but also dangerous – monster. In this surreal cinematic journey by filmmaker Reyndert Guiljam (GEZÁ, IFFR 2022), the Rotterdam-based director creates a unique world where the air looks toxic and the two characters seem to live in a vacuum. Far from civilisation, they engage in a tense game of attraction and repulsion.
