After premiering his feature docu-fiction Letters Unwritten to Naiyer Masud at IFFR 2023, Shahi A.J returns to the festival with the short form. An older woman’s voice describes how she navigates a waning web of memories and the corresponding images that come before her mind’s eye. Through suggestive collage work, the film visualises this surreal mental landscape, in which forgetting unfolds as a process of mourning, acceptance and release.
