Céline Berger, brilliant editor and former production engineer in microelectronics, reworks material from the 1980s German Federal Employment Agency: cutting, drawing, turning, sliding, folding, shoveling, tightening, loosening. These 16mm films, once made to inform and inspire jobseekers all over West Germany, spill and seep into each other to form a mechanical symphony that dismantles the very notion of productive labour.
