Following their hit focus programme, the Manetti Bros. come back to Rotterdam with another snarky comedy to delight football lovers and beyond! The protagonist of our adventure is Etienne Morville, Italian first league Enfant Terrible with an unmatched talent for the game and for… trouble. After he bodyshames a TikTok influencer Etienne’s popularity is at its lowest and his career is compromised. Taking advantage of the situation, a football aficionado in a small village in Calabria collects money from every villager and signs up Morville to save the destiny of their local team: the U.S. Palmese.

In a country in which stadiums seem to be more important than hospitals, the Manettis are not afraid to mock everyone; from the poet to the high profile sports agent, to the stars of the field. And if the sports scenes offer some of the most memorable moments of the film, U.S.Palmese still gives food for thought outside the match.
