Set in the Jamaican diaspora of South London, The Tobacconist follows Tobias as he hustles on the streets selling counterfeit tobacco to try to fund his mother’s trip back to her island home. What is revealed within this large but marginalised community is a lot of alienation and angst, but also love and pride.
