After América
An audio tour from an exhibition about the Americas is put in contrast with digital interpretations of the Mars rover. The mythic vision of adventure and conquest enabled Europeans to regard the native inhabitants of the Americas as alien and inhuman and to treat their ‘discovery’ as a vast empty space for occupation and exploitation. Final frontiers: both new and old.
