The Antarctic Gardener
To survive in Antarctica, both people and plants need technology. A woman works in a container greenhouse, nurturing life where it should not be. The serenity in the container forms a stark contrast with the raging forces outside.
Elisa Strinna is an Italian multimedia artist who lives both in Italy and Rotterdam. She used archival footage of the EDEN ISS project to make The Antarctic Gardener.
