In 2008, RANDYPETERS1, a 9-year-old boy from Chicago uploaded a hand-drawn animated video Octocat Adventures, about a red cat head with eight legs looking for its parents. In the final episode, the videos were revealed to be made by 3D animator David OReilly. OReilly made Octocat Story out of the wave of fan art about Octocat that sprawled over the internet.
