#MEMEPROPAGANDA Goes to Rotterdam
Memes play an ever greater role in our digital society. This online and real-life exhibition takes a critical look at the impact of the meme on contemporary aesthetics, politics and academia, on the basis of characters from memes.
Iconic posters have been distributed around the city, made by artists who invite us to take part in this interactive exhibition. You too can take part in the collective, meme-based production by creating meme characters online using the special URL developed by Superinternet. You can also take part in the platform 4ducks – a homage to the classic image boards, the natural ecosystems where memes flourish.
