Two years after Apollo 11 landed the first men on the moon, the Apollo 15 mission took not only the first lunar rover, but also the first artwork to the moon. In 1971, astronaut David Scott created a small memorial on the moon with a plaque dedicated to astronauts and cosmonauts who had died in service.
