In this film, dedicated to Riga’s Jewish community, Loznitsa takes us to one of the city’s poorest districts and the Old Jewish Cemetery park where a group of alcoholics, young toughs and American tourists feel at home. There is little to remind us of this former Jewish cemetery’s violent history.
