Oops Wrong Planet
Oops Wrong Planet shows a charming hilly landscape as if on a different planet, a world of white noise and space far away from here. Disruptions on screen suggest contact, an attempt to communicate. Distance and proximity are clouded. ‘People invented the garden in order to roam in it,’ Nietzsche wrote. De Clercq’s artificial surroundings invite one to similar reflections. An e-mail correspondence between her and an autistic man formed the basis for this work.
