It is 1977 on a hot day in West Texas. A little boy carries a hose to a mud ‘city’ that he and his sister have constructed in their front yard. They are distracted by the arrival of their parents. The kids struggle to hold their focus despite the parents’ escalating dispute, but get caught in the tug of war of the failing relationship. The once peaceful afternoon is shattered as the fight comes to a fiery dramatic conclusion.
