An experiment concerning the attempts at creating a ‘moving image’ long before the invention of cinema. A re-experiencing of the history of ‘magic with light’ unfolds through the use of various devices and techniques, including flip-book animation and Muybridge’s photographs in motion zoopraxiscope.
KEIICHI Tanaami (1936) is a lecturer at Kyoto Art College as well as a film maker. His films have been shown internationally. NOBUHIRO Aihara has made dozens of animation films since 1968. His work has been shown internationally. He is a professor at the Kyoto University of Art and Design.
