Ishida Takashi: ‘Three drawn animation films, each with music. The animations become a whirlpool of light by multiple exposure and each becomes indistinct. But, as far as the sound is concerned, they become united by being piled up. This film was made on the assumption that it would be screened in darkness as a movie, but at the same time it was also made on the assumption that the original pictures would become three pieces of picture scrolls as ‘a drawing work’. Therefore I often experiment lining up ‘the screening’ and ‘the picture scroll’ in the same exhibition space.’
