Improvisation no.8

Free improvisation for four film projectors. Transformation of a masterful landscape painting into an overwhelming nocturnal forest walk. A subtle game is played with use of various film emulsions in different colours. The same shots of a deserted orchard are processed repeatedly by the makers themselves in their own laboratory and are projected over the top of each other in the performance. The image that results reveals a continual slow change in that one scene.
