An experimental philosophical documentary investigating the Nazi past of the famous German philosopher Martin Heidegger (1889-1976). The film was shot in the Black Forest, where Heidegger lived and worked. On the basis of 50-year-old sound recordings of Heidegger himself and with the aid of a quote from Heraclitus, the film reconstructs Heidegger’s thoughts about his past and his belief in the power of interpretation (hermeneutics) in the western philosophical tradition is reconstructed.
