Videos by Czech visual artists hand used to serve mainly as documentation of a performance or an action and the artists sometimes didn’t care much about the aesthetic features of the image itself. The video artists we have chosen for this festival are nonetheless working with the audio-visual quality of the image mostly in an elaborate way, exploring the boundary between cinema and fine art or trying to invent new kinds of images and narrative or ideological connections between them.
