Flaming Creatures
Flaming Creatures is built up of exotic tableaux, with a mixture of typical film dialogues and pop music; a whole which breathes the decadent and refined atmosphere of a Von Sternberg, but which also has all the characteristics of a home movie; an undogmatic film in both technique and substance, so the crucial images seem to have been made at a transvestite party which got out of hand on the roof of a movie theatre in Lower East Side of New York.
