‘Mondo’ is not just a slogan here. The world of Khavn (screen name of Khavn De La Cruz, see also The Family That Eats Soil) has many routes in the deliberately disrespectful tradition of the underground, cult, horror and gore film. For Khavn, this world goes over the top and all limits are broken, but there always remains critical contact with the world we usually call real. Or: how splatter can be politics. Not for children.
