The film is based on the prize-winning novel by Norman Wilwayco. This is not your average film version of a book and you don’t have to watch for long to see that the film maker has permitted himself every possible freedom. So-called ‘mondo cinema’ has a tradition of absurdism and cruelty and the film maker eagerly provides his vital contribution to this underground trend. This film is intended as a prelude to the director’s next full-length feature. (GjZ)
