“In the past, I have worked primarily in photography and have documented staged, selfportrait based performances in order to portray segments from nonsensical narratives in a moment in time. Recently, I have begun working
on a series of video projects in which the narrative structure is generated and depicted through the progression of time. As in my photos, I am still interested in selfportraiture, vanity and narcissism as well as issues dealing with the body, bodily functions, beauty, chaos, the grotesque and the perverse.” A.G.
