Competing with her mother’s boyfriend and their new baby for attention, a neglected sevenyear old girl slips into violence against a younger child. Echoing the controversial British murder case of twoyear old James Bulger, this is an extraordinarily wellobserved film which is shocking both for the girl’s actions and the blindness of the adults who fail to see their children’s needs. Directed by British student Grant Thoburn at the Lodz film school.
