  • What is IFFR Unleashed?

    IFFR Unleashed is an extension of our annual festival, online and year-round. You can subscribe to enjoy a curated selection of extraordinary films, special collections, masterclasses and talks. If you live outside of the Benelux, you can make use of the pay-per-view option. 

  • What kind of films does IFFR Unleashed feature?

    Our streaming service provides a curated selection of films that have screened at previous editions of IFFR. They are electrifying and unconventional films by filmmakers who dare to explore new territories and untold stories. We highlight experimental and audience favourites that move us, challenge and inspire.

  • Are all films on IFFR Unleashed English-language or with English subtitles?

    All films are spoken in their original language. Most films have English subtitles, however some only have Dutch subtitles. Subtitles can be found by clicking the CC button in the bottom-right of the video player. There you can activate your preferred language.

    Please be aware: in most cases there are no subtitles if a film is English-spoken.

  • Are the films in HD quality?

    All films on IFFR Unleashed are in HD (1080p) quality.

  • Can I access IFFR Unleashed films from another country?

    Yes, you can. Please be aware that the availability of films can vary from country to country. The country in which you registered determines which films you’ll have access to. It’s not currently possible to watch films in the USA and Canada. 

  • Can I change or edit my account settings?

    Yes. To change your settings, log in and go to your account page. If you want to change a setting that is not shown on your account page, please send an email to [email protected].

  • Can I pause and watch later?

    Yes, you can always pause a film and pick up where you left off later. If you rent a film, you can pause and watch later within the 72-hour-period.

  • Can I use Apple TV to stream the films to my TV?

    You can, but Apple’s AirPlay protocol does not support subtitles that are not part of the film file. This may result in a situation where you can see subtitles on your laptop, but not on your TV while using Apple TV to stream.

  • Can I use Google Chromecast to stream the films to my TV?

    IFFR Unleashed does not formally support Google Chromecast.

  • Does IFFR have an app to stream films?

    No, IFFR Unleashed is not currently supported with an app.

  • How can I watch a film on IFFR Unleashed?

    Films on our Unleashed platform are available on a pay-per-view basis. Prices are indicated per film.

    Please note that film availability varies per country and some films are not available outside the Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg). If that is the case, this information will be included in the Unleashed box on the film page. Unleashed films are currently not available in the USA or Canada.

  • How can I change my password?

    To change your password, click on the login button in the top-right corner of your screen. When you’re in the login screen, click “Forgot password?” and follow the instructions. This will give you the option to reset your password.

  • How often do you add new films?

    We add new films to IFFR Unleashed every month.

  • How long will films stay available to watch on IFFR.com?

    We have signed long-term contracts for 90% of our films. You can enjoy these films for years to come. Only a small number of films will be available on the platform for a period of one and a half years.

  • How do I turn on the subtitles for films?

    To turn on subtitles, click the CC button at the bottom-right corner of your video player and activate your preferred language.

    If there is no CC button but the film specifications do indicate that subtitles are included, you will not have to activate them yourself. The subtitles will be part of the film as viewed in the video player. Please be aware: in most cases there are no subtitles if a film is English-spoken.

  • I have a suggestion for a film. How can I get in touch with IFFR?

  • I have a voucher code. How can I use it?

    Simply pick a film you’d like to see and fill in your voucher code in the field “I have a discount code” on the page with an overview of your order.

  • I rented a film. How long is it available to watch?

    When you rent a film, it will be available for you to watch for 72 hours after you pressed play. The film can be stopped and started at any point within these 72 hours. 

  • I rented a film. Where can I see the invoice of my purchase?

    You will receive an overview of the purchase by email. You can also find these purchases in your personal account. If you want to receive an invoice including VAT, please can send an email to [email protected].

  • I want to watch on my computer/laptop/tablet/smartphone. Any recommendations?

    We recommend using the following browsers to have the best experience:

  • I want to watch on my TV, is that possible?

    You can connect your computer/laptop to your TV using an HDMI cable.

  • What are the payment methods?

    IFFR offers payment by credit card and iDEAL.
