Late Nights in Lobby A x IFFR: La amiga de mi amiga

With Pride taking place in our neighbouring Amsterdam, we’re hosting a special screening of this irresistible queer Barcelona-set comedy as part of Late Nights in Lobby A at the Groot Handelsgebouw.

The venue opens an hour before the screening so there’s plenty of time to mingle and enjoy a drink provided by Queer Beer in this iconic Rotterdam location.

About the film

La amiga de mi amiga dir. Zaida Carmona, 2022, Spain. Subtitled in English.

Zaida treats her life like a movie; recently dumped, the film follows her through a series of fast-paced hookups in Barcelona’s queer art scene. She ends up falling for Lara, a fellow filmmaker, who happens to be her friend’s girlfriend. In this witty, frankly cinephile comedy, queer spaces are at the forefront as you follow Zaida on her nights out at bars, parties and art shows with her tight-knit community of lesbians.

Date: Thursday 1 August
