Thais Fernandes
Thais FERNANDES (1984, Brazil) is a filmmaker and journalist who graduated from the Erasmus Mundus master’s program. She works as an editor, writer and filmmaker across television and cinema, and she is also active in theatre and film education. Fernandes co-founded POADOC, Porto Alegre’s first documentary festival. Her debut feature film, Portuñol, premiered in 2021. In 2024, she released MS’D Up – My Life with Multiple Sclerosis, co-directed with cartoonist Rafael Corrêa. The same year, she was selected for Berlinale Talents. Her previous works include the interactive documentary A Female Body (2016) and the TV series After All, Who Is God? (2019).
