Jose Eduardo Castilla Ponce

Jose Eduardo CASTILLA PONCE (2000, Mexico) is a Mexican director and screenwriter. He is a co-founder of the Mexican production company Persignados, which specialises in fiction films and music videos. In 2024, his first short film, Aguacuario, was selected for the 74th edition of the Berlin International Film Festival, competing in the Generation section. In the same year, he received a script development grant from the Artistic Creation and Development Stimulus Program (PECDA) of the state of Puebla for his feature film Los Cachorros del Rodeo. José Eduardo is in production of his next short film, Los Tripitas and the documentary Memorias de Pólvora.
